Would a oil clutch setup from a d7 17a -1800 fit in a d7 3t-18000 if I had all the parts from the 17a.

Looking at the parts book breakdown the only difference that jumps out as different is the clutch cover. Also some differences in the pump suction screen but I think that would transfer over ok. Don't see why it wouldn't interchange but I haven't done it or know anyone who has.

I believe that the trans. input shaft would need changed if the rest of the trans. is the same and the flywheel housing appears different than the dry clutch housing.

Yes, the transmission input shaft would need to be changed to u-joint flange type and is a different part number. Flywheel housing is also a different part number. I don't know if it would interchange or not.

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
