Hi all I am new to these machine I just got this D2 and the main clutch is stuck the clutch lever travels back and forth but the clutch does not move at all. Any suggestions on how to free this up? Do I have to split the tractor or can I work through the access hole? Thank you.

Judging by the amount of rust and corrosion in the picture I would say the pressure plate is probably frozen on the shaft. There are external teeth cut on the shaft and internal teeth cut on the plate that facilitate movement of engagement and disengagement of the clutch. Most likely will have to pull the engine but I would try a 50/50 mixture of acetone/transmission fluid to spray on everything and soak it. Then maybe a little heat and some light tapping of a hammer may free it up.
Good luck!

Also your interlock needs to be bolted back up in the two bolt holes which keeps the transmission from coming out of gear/going in gear until you engage your clutch you will want to fix that.
