I bought a bucyrus erie 22 b with a 318 d motor that has not been ran in many years, don't know how many.I'm trying to make it breath again as a spare parts machine but it don't want to turn over. I play with the compresion release but havn't made it roll. Any good suggestions?Should I have to put a 4 foot bar on this thing to get it to move, Can I pull injector and put wd-40 down the hole. Are the injector set to a depth or do they just thread in.I'm an excavator not a diesel mechanic but I do have a bit of wrenching under my belt, ussauly when I'm swearing too.

Remove the injector lines and then remove the nut that holds the injector down. It should shake loose and come out with your fingers once you remove the nut. The tip is only tightened finger tight on the body. When you want to replace the injector use some anti-sieze on the outside of the nut and the injector and then tighten the hold down nut to 100 foot pounds.

You should probably get a set of the o-rings and seals that keep dirt out of the joints between the nut and the PC chamber and under the fuel line nut.
