I got the seat bucket removed along with some extra steel. The u series tank isn't a direct bolt on but shouldn't be to hard to adapt. I'm not doing a period correct restoration so I'm not to worried about mix matched parts.
When I got new seat cushions for my 5U, the Hahn side cushions wrap over the top of the seat sides which provides a lot more comfort for resting your arms.
I put a piece of 1/4 inch plate on top of the existing fenders. I wanted a little more width to compensate for the wider tank and cover up all the holes from years of things being mounted on them.
Got some beautification on the fenders. It really cleans up the look and makes it more finished.
A good friend and fellow member is coming by tomorrow and the plan is to take the winch off the parts tractor and swap it over to the 2t.
Our channel highlights machines from the earliest Holt and Best track-type tractors, equipment from the start of Caterpillar in 1925, up to units built in the mid-1960s.
