I bought the 2A5744 injector gasket from florin tractor they were so old brittle and hard that. One came in pieces they are to thick to clamp down the injectors when i tighten them i still get a little play out of them when i wiggle them with a screw driver i even let one sit in oil for awhile to see if it would soften up am i doing somthing wrong or is that the way the injectors are they are tight and there is no up and down movement

Hi Team,
link below shows how steaming the gaskets in a simple vegetable steamer will re-hydrate them to be useful again.
I would likely then dry the surfaces and oil/grease them before fitment

First thing, buy them from a CAT dealer and they will most likely be newer. Second, ALWAYS soak in HOT WATER for 20 to 30 minutes until they a pliable. Bill Walter

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
