Well I started to dismantle my 22. I have a quick question regarding the radiator removal. There seems to be four bolts holding the rad to the large steel base that is attached to the engine block, if I remove these four bolts will the radiator come off? It seems to easy to be true. Also how heavy is the rad, it looks VERY HEAVY? Attached is a photo of my progress so far.

Pete, there is either 4 or 6 of these bolts, you will also have to disconnect the top and bottom rad. hoses. Then the rad will come out.It is quite heavy, should have a secord person to help.Good luck.Mike

Yep, 4 bolts, upper water pipe, lower water pipe and choke linkage rod. Fairly simple.

OH and the belly pan. I see your tractor has this nice rare option.

Thanks. I guess I will put together my engine hoist tonight and lift off the Rad.

I wish I had a nice, clean, neat, garage to work on my 22...

If you split the engine from the tranny, take some pics please. I still haven't done that task yet. Haven't done anything, lately. Too busy with a sick Mom...

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
