Hello,

Does anyone know the thickness of the friction material (and / or total assembled thickness) on the main (engine) clutch for a 22? I searched the forum and find plenty of 22 clutch things but not the actual thickness number. It is a 1936 and the S/N is 2F5388 if it matters.

Old Magnet,

Thanks - the part number from my book is V-395 for the assembly and V-17 for the disc alone.

Some strange interchange numbers, 0V0017 = 4F2192, 15-7B5054, 15-7B5055. Sorry I don't have the thickness dimensions for that disc.

I measured a PV15 plate [V-395 Assy. ] I have [similar to a Twenty-Two ], and it came in at .455 . It looks pretty good , so my suggestion is a Total .5 or 1/2" is about original . You do have a bit of spare take up with the Clutch brake. I can't find any spec's in my service Book .LJ

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
