I'm rebuilding my starter pinion and my parts catalog only lists the 4 older style safety wire style bolts for the pinion end of my assembly. I'm putting together an order for Dana at Florin Tractor, and I need the part number for the two bend lock tabs that go underneath the newer style bolts. Sasquatch explained all this in his video, but I can't seem to find the part numbers... I'm ordering both bearings, the middle seal, both lock rings, and the large oring alternate part number. Thanks again!

The video stated 2A2468? Updating my parts book?? While I have the master parts man on? I am shipping texasbanton a governor for his poney off of a 9k3585 # 12. Not sure of his serial #. The subject of a water pump ( which mine has) came up. He says his 1939 212 has no water pump in his parts book. Can you enlighten a couple of rookies? Thanks, I am sure you have the answers.

My manual shows the old safety wire type, but someone has been in the pinion and upgraded the bolts once upon a time. Also my non-existent governor shows to be a 5B5107 in my manual. I also should have a signature now per oldbeek's advice.

D4600 and D318 pony motors have water pumps. D3400, D4400, D311's and D315's do not.
The 9Kxxxx governor is a different mounting compared to the four cylinder engine versions.

oldbeek - I stated the old 2A2468 lock part number in the video because that was one of the parts that I got from Florin and that old number was what they still listed them as. All of the parts I got from Cat had the newer numbers on them so I showed those when I had them. I'm assuming that the 4H1351 part number that OM listed is the current number that supersedes it.

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
