Hi all
trying to date a Steelweld/Cat grader. Numbers are a little difficult. Engine appears to 05C113. Frame S9T-6.
One of my books says likely 1957. Another says 9T were single drive this one is tandem.
Will try to get a photo next time I go past it.

Hi Colin,

My books come up with a 9T prefix being a 212 tandem drive grader, production starting 1947 USA, doesn't show the Steelweld prefix unfortunately, I assume production would have started sometime after first in USA.

Hi Colin,
S9T6 is equivalent of 9T3948.
Like Cat of Australia Steelweld shipped in engine/transmission packages and built most of the other parts to build a grader.
From memory Ozdozer put up a bit of Steelweld history.
