How easy is it to get across the Island Ferries? Don't you have to book them weeks in advance and also book a specific time otherwise you have to wait for an opening?

The Orient Point--New London ferries are fairly easy to get to and are very reliable. About a 1 1/2 hour ride. Aside from Fridays and Sundays a one week reservation is recommended. A specific time has to be chosen also, but you can arrive early and get on if there is an opening---which happens fairly often.

Whoops--just read your location---are you traveling from Canada? Rhode Island is not an island and I gave the info on the ferries from Long Island to Connecticut/Rhode Island

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
