Hi,

I recently had my D2 radiator re-cored.

It appears that the pressure regulator valve/seal for the cooling system needs replacing- the rubber seal has completely disintegrated.

My parts book shows part no. 1F6602 as the replacement part required. This doesn't appear to be available.

Does anyone blank this valve off, and use a pressure cap in the radiator in its place? If so, does anyone have a part no. for a suitable pressure cap?

I removed mine and plugged the overflow line, machined a neck to fit the radiator added a overflow to the neck above the seat for the pressure cap. Work out good but have not started the engine yet. I used a 180 d f thermostat and a 5 psi cap. The cat is a 1944 d4 2t with a d4400 with a steel finned rad.....WA7OPY
