Any help would be helpful
Fuel pressure gauge with a 3 1/2 inch Benzel on it. Doesn't come apart. Any ideas were to look? Thanks
Many of us purchase replacement gauges from a local CAT dealer. If you go that route, the parts person can sell you an adapter ring and screws that are proper for the new gauge. At one point, there were replacement gauge faces, but those were for much earlier machines. I believe there might be some Stewart Warner guages with similar bar reading from your favorite auto supply store, but unclear if the rings are available. If you are in dire need, I might have a decent used ring I can mail you. JM
Thank you. I'll do some looking
If I can't find I'll contact you how much for the ring? Thanks for replying
Check eBay. Sometimes something shows up there.
Several years back a neighbor had a SW gauge that I glued (epoxy) to the back of the bezel and it and looked like a new one. To my knowledge it is still working.
Cats Forever
The adapter ring from Cat is part # 5B9683... it has a 2 1/16'' hole that will fit a Stewart Warner gauge as well as the gauge from Cat. This part number is for the ring only, much better to source some brass screws and nuts from the hardware store... the ones from Cat are too pricy.
That gauge does come apart, you have to gently pry on the front metal ring and it will come off. I have disassembled multiple gauges for repair.
fivebmc: If you want it, just PM me your mail address. No charge; just paying it forward. I have had several members share tractor parts with me in past, just trying to pay it forward and help another.
Wayne: Good to know that you are still out there; TractorDon and I were talking about you, and wouldn't want you to miss his BBQ if he has it in March.
