I have a head for the 318D Cat 12 grader in at the machine shop. They needed to take about .004 off in surfacing but don't know the specs for the nozzle and valve protrusion. Does anyone out there know what they are? Our local dealer doesn't seem to be able to help with that, or doesn't want to take the time to research it. The head casting number is 7F7878. It has the glow plugs in the pre-combustion chambers. Thanks!

Valve protrusion measured from surface of the head to top of valve is 0.0937" for both intake and exhaust.

Here's your chart. Look up D318 on the left side and then column K is the dimension
