First post, I bought in December of this year. Everything works but the pony motor, I haven't had time to fix it yet. I bought if from the original owner with grease bucket, original paperwork, and track adjustment wrench. It came with an 8 ft bar and two rippers, also a 12 ft bar with 16 ft slave bar and field cultivators

Congratulations! That looks like a nice well cared for tractor. The toolbar is just icing on the cake!

Very nice collection of hard-to-find toolbar components. I look forward to a video of them all in action in the field! : )

Good deal on the TB setup. Mine wasnโ€™t as complete as yours, but then again half the fun is scavenging bits and pieces to make all complete. Whatโ€™s the issue on the pony motor? Hope to see it in action and all of the pads and rippers shiny soon.
AND, WELCOME to the group. ๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ

The pony is free, but the starter doesn't turn very fast. Im thinking that its a grounding issue. Im not getting spark either so my plan is to clean the points in mag and go from there. As hot as it has been this summer im lacking the motivation to work on it Haha. Im hoping for more progress in cooler weather

For the pony starter, remove the main battery cables and sand-paper all the connections, then spray a bit of deox on them. If the cables are less than 2/0 size, replace them. You need thick cables and good connections, including the clamps for the battery terminals. Run the negative cable to a bolt somewhere close to the starter motor assembly, and make sure there's bright steel (no rust or paint).

If you are using a 6 volt battery, change it out to a 12 volt. The starter will turn twice as fast and it wont hurt the starter unless you crank for a few minutes and over heat it. I have used 12 volt on all of my tractors with pony engines and have never had to replace a starter.
D-4 7U-43159 with 4S dozer and Cat 40 scraper, D-7 3T-1179 with Cat 7S hydraulic dozer, D-7 17A 13,944, D-8 14A-1160 with Cat 8S cable dozer, Cat 12-99E-4433 Grader. All runners and users.

Thanks for the advice! When time allows I will get on if and report and progress.
