well i found bearings believe it or not, $7 a piece - and im going down the rabbit hole but 44mm piston rings come in 1.5mm thickness, the original pony engine rings come in at 3.1mm - so if i stack 2 rings ill be 0.1mm below spec and have gapless rings - no blow by! I did this on a tohatsu outboard and its been working perfectly-

my gap was near 2-3mm! I recall seeing blowby out of the top oil fill -

also found a con rod on ebay - lucky me exact part #, ONE left.

cat has the main bushing too. jp pistons(nerada automotive) in south aus has replacement pistons and rings. check the bores for wear, they have oversize pistons as well as standard.

yes you can double stack rings and it will sort of work you can also get "cords" type rings which are a multi segment ring.

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
