Does anyone have the Napa part numbers (Baldwin Brand) for the fuel filters and gasket for the cover? The cover has a cast number of 2A5766.

I am not close to the Cat to take a visual on the gasket. I think it is a 5B-1581 There is another one that looks close as well 7B-8037.

Napa said the fuel socks are 2A5886. Can anyone confirm that?

Thanks
Jim

What year is your D2? Mine has 3 yarn wrapped cylinders for a fuel filter. I gave to different part numbers for a gasket which one would be the correct one for a 1938 3J134?

I remember only one gasket. You say I need two gaskets, but what part number?

Thanks

Write these numbers down. The same filters fit the D2, D4, D6 and I believe the D8 8R.

Baldwin F919-C
CAT 7B8264
NAPA 3164
WIX 33164

There are two gaskets, both the same that fit on each side of the plate that the fuel filter rods go through.

These gaskets fit the D4. I am unsure about the other models.

My parts books show:

upper gasket 5B1581

lower gasket 5B1580

Element 5B770

some of these numbers may change up , make shaw you fit the gaskets the correct way round they are different.
