Trying to get all the r4 up and running , just sent the motor go get new seals and rings in it, had the head redone, but my biggest problem is the intake, it has been rusted out clear threw, is what is the best way to fix it, is there any available or am i just sinking money in to something im not going to be able to fix, [attachment=15782]DSCN2238.jpg[/attachment][attachment=15783]DSCN2239.jpg[/attachment][attachment=15784]DSCN2240.jpg[/attachment]

I don't know if CATMAN makes a manifold for that?

I know there is a R4 in Davison mi for parts, engine rebuilt, i believe it had a good manifold, or you could make a intake if your not concerned about it being authentic, I built one for my gas 40

contact me if you want to get in touch with the owner of the R4, last time I saw it was 3 years ago, the engine was sitting the floor in front of machine, it was rebuilt by a machinest so it was likely well done

Thanks all, Idid this a few years back, I will get and post a final pic tomorrow with the heat box installed

Erik, yes they are 3 inch 45 on the ends, the hardest part was the top where the heat box mates up and the moon shapes to close in the 3 inch 45, a lot of cut fit and cut again
