Hey Guys, new to site and am looking for for some info on a 1933 autopatrol 11 that I have, mostly I want a value of it, I got it to maintain roads but it is lacking in some key areas I need so rather than modify it I am thinking of selling it and getting one that has the stuff I want. It is a mostly complete machine, missing the hood, rippers, and correct carb. It runs and operates somewhat but with the wrong carb it is difficult to keep running. Any help would be great, I do like it but want it in a collectors possession or on display somewhere as I have figured out it is quite rare machine, it is the only one known of by Cat in the western states.

The model # 7D46, engine # 2A1098, the local cat dealer was able to tell me it was built march 1933, acording to them this is # 46 built, production started late 1932. Here are some pics as well.

Did the cat dealer tell you that only 51 machines were produced in 1933?
11 Auto Patrol 1932 7D1 to 7D51 1933

According to spec sheet It has the 5500G engine which is the same as a Caterpillar R3

Do you have a pic of the manifold side of the engine ? The condition of the manifolds have a lot to do with the value of most gas cats .

Sorry for the long reply time, I don't have any more pics but the preheat portion off the intake is almost completely rusted out and broken, the exhaust manifold is severely cracked as well, the diverter valve is seized and broken and all linkages are missing.

Wow, looks like that grader really did a lot of work in it's day. :hail:. Modified operating handles and worn down brake pedals. If it could only talk about all the work it did. :usa2:

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
