A 1929 TEN should be gray, so noted. I read that trim cam be either red or black? I just took 97 years of paint off my radiator grill. It was originally gray and the vertical bars were black. What decided the color black or red? Year? base color? Can't be black with yellow and red with gray because mine was gray and black. Could they have used black on units that had black headlamps? A TEN might look kinda funny with matching red headlamps? But then again there is a pic of a John Deere green TEN floating around the old caternet somewhere. Any thoughts?

wasn’t strictly by year, trim colors often varied by factory batches, dealers, or customer requests. That’s why you see different combinations even on the same model.
