Just rebuilt the clutches and brake band on the front PCU and blade won't hold up! Does anyone have the correct adjustment procedure for the brake?

Hi, scott lewin.
Sounds like your problem is that the brake is not holding. There izza procedure for adjusting these CCUs which holds true whether they are front or rear mounted:

1. Adjust the brake SPRING tension until the brake holds the weight of the blade SECURELY - NO creep. This is done by tightening the spring using the colletted nut at the front end of the spring.

2. Adjust the brake actuating rod so that the brake actuating roller lines up with the mark in the actuating lever.

3. Adjust the clutch so that there is about 5 inches of free travel on the end of the control lever before the clutch engages.

Hope this helps.

Just my 0.02.

You have a wonderful day. Best wishes. Deas Plant.
