I've got 1 main bearing that is pretty ugly. None off them are marked or have part numbers on them. I cant get up there to measure the crank right. Can anyone tell me how thick a standard bearing is so I can figure out what im dealing with. Also my rod bearings are .030 under and 1 .040 under and I'm needing part numbers for them.
Thanks Jesse

Here is what info I have...
Main bearing bore size = 4.6242/4.6250"
Maximum bearing wall thickness = 0.4341"
Oil clearance 0.0060/0.0086"
Main Bearings are aluminum in 0.010 - 0.025 - 0.050" undersizes with only the 0.050 shown in the Cat Parts book.
Rods show 0.010 - 0.020 - 0.025 - 0.050 undersizes with only the 0.050 shown in the Cat Parts book.
If Cat has different undersizes I do not have info on them.

I should be able to figure out what bearings I have now. Did aftermarket ever make any of the different sizes.
Thanks Jesse

Other than the 0.050" undersize bearings listed in the Cat part book the rest are after market sizes.

What are you calling center? It's a seven bearing crankshaft.
Thrust is #4 Sealed Power MB1140AL or Federal Mogul 1597AT
#7 is Sealed Power MB1837AL or Federal Mogul 2489AT
#2-3-5-6 are Sealed Power MB1139AL or Federal Mogul 1598AT
#1 is Sealed Power MB1138AL or Federal Mogul 1596AT
Those are base numbers, you will need to request the 0.025" undersize.

Thanks O.M I will continue the hunt. By middle I meant the big double wide 1 in the middle. Guess it would be #4?
Thanks Jesse
