With about 75 tons of force, the wheel broke loose free from the spindle. But I can only get it to move about 1 inch out. I guess the brakes are hanging up on the drum.
What do I do to get them free'd up? Do I adjust them in with a brake spoon? Other tricks? Or should I just be able to leave them as is and wiggle the assembly off?

Thanks,
Muzz

Back the adjuster all the way off. The shoes are probably hung up in worn drums.

GOT IT!!!! Helps to know where to get to the adjuster. Was not where I first thought it was and kinda got faked out by some useless big hole. Brakes look good. Will post some pics soon.
Thanks,
Muzz

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
