This question came up a short time ago & if it,s what your thinking of they were a 1 cyl. engine that Cat made up & they were used for lube testing etc. I have seen one or two at tractor shows & they were interesting to see. The last one I saw in Ohio to an antique equip. show & it was made up from an old D17000 V-8 engine that Cat made years ago but the engines I saw were just one cyl. & cut down to one cyl.
Is this 60 engine one of the H. Kaiser diesel conversions?

(It came up while watching the 'Cat one cylinder?' video.

I have the spec sheet on a Cat 1 or 2 cylinder engine. the model # for this engine is the 800 G. It was used on some of the old pull graders. It was gas powered.

do a search on this website for a 44 or 66 grader to see more info on this engine.
Daron, this is an Atlas conversion tractor done by H. Kaiser, it is the only known " Original " and is shown at all the big /good shows in the U.K., the owner has done a fantastic job having this tractor restored, it is some animal to start with compressed air at about 300 psi.

Know that 1 cyl Cat oil test engine well. Almost original, owner just had to make a couple of parts to get it going. The movie was taken at the Tri-State Tractor show at Portland Indiana. Is there every year, and the owner only lives a few miles from the show grounds.
Just one of the 2000 or so engines that are at that show every year.
There was one of these on eBay about 3 or 4 years ago. It was used in a college test laboratory and was out in Washington State somewhere. As I remember, it didn't bring all that much money. I remember emailing the auction # to Jeff Huff, he said it was too far away for him. It looked very complete and original and was always inside. 😊 Dave!
