I have a D4 7u that did run, but doesn't now. The pony ate 2 magnetos and is now removed. There is play in the crank shaft bushing, which the forums say is the culprit. That is more than I can fix, so I would like the D4 to have a new home. I'll attach some pictures, including 1 of rust starting on the blade lift cylinders from setting so long. Tracks are great. $2500. New Concord Ohio. 740-260-1808

Hi Barry, nice looking machine. Do you still have the two magnetos? You can slather some grease on those rams to stop them further deteriorating
Cheers,

Only 1 magneto, the original; first time I was able to have it rebuilt. 2nd time I have the magneto, it is off the pony and has 3 broken teeth. Picture of the blade cylinder was "before" now it has grease to protect it.

Thanks for asking Neil. You were the only one to ask from ACMOC. I put it on marketplace and someone came next day; then today while we were loading the D4, there was a call from someone from ACMOC. I don't know how to remove the listing or mark it SOLD.

Hi Barry, you can just edit the post's title. If you click on the Action button, you can edit. Congratulations on the sale. You saved me from buying another unit I don't "technically" need : )

Thanks Neil, "easy for you to say"
. When I click on "action" my choices are "reply, unsubscribe, or favorite". I don't see the edit button. You can see I am not very good at this; if you see it, please click "sold". Thanks

Oh, my apologies Barry, I assumed that edit was an available option. I will update it for you. Was the buyer local and what plans did he have for it? It's a nice looking unit and good undercarriage is a big deal

Thanks Neil. The buyer was in state, about 1 1/2 hours away, plans to fix it and has the perfect connection to a friend in a machine shop that can make a new bushing for the pony crankshaft. I couldn't do that, and it helped him that the pony was off and could go right to the shop.

Nice one Barry, I used a technique for the bearings that your buyer might be interested in if he wants to contact me. Basically, following someone else's recommendation, I machined the crankcase and crank to accept thrust washers, so that the original bearings no longer had to carry the axial load
