HI!   I am looking for a set of sprocket guards for my Twenty Eight.  I will buy them outright or trade parts for them.  I have pictured a few parts that could be traded if there is interest.
  What I am looking for, I do not care if the tin is damaged or missing as long as the center casting is good.    The casting number.        Twenty Eight heat valve.  There have been two cracks repaired at some point in this part's life.  All new studs, three of which were custom-made to fix stripped holes and keep the 3/8-16 size visible on the outside. The brass nuts were also made in my shop as I do not like the looks of the ones I can buy.  The valve itself is loose and turns.    Best Thirty valve cover, raw recast.   Best Thirty spark plug cover, raw recast.   Thirty-Five, Forty, RD6/D6, R5 sprocket covers.   BET Ensign for Ten, not rebuilt.   Gas Fifty Ensign.  I need to rebush the throttle bell crank and this one will be done.  Cleaned up the gasket surfaces, new screws, lock washers, pin and staples, the float screws were reused as they are an odd thread, new throttle shaft bushings, new floats, float valve, float pivot pin, float valve bango nut and gaskets. I Have Checked my 28 Wide Tail Seal Seat Machines Yeap my Neddle in a Haystack Find After spending 15 years asking around . It was my Lucky Day for Sure when I got a Phone Call saying "I have two of them One is Serial Number 1150. Next to last Produced and an Early one also Both Wide Gauge Tail Sets. Deal Dun.

I have a Cat 25 Wide Gauge Tailseat. Very Rare I believe ? Like Serial Number in the single Digit.. Original in Grey Paint. Hence the Reason I was looking for a Cat 28 Wide Gauge in Yellow to park up next to each other. In the Cat-Cave Collection

After Manufacturing and shipping Cast in STEEL SPECS Track Pads over to Vercamp.Collection Projects. etc etc.

I am Looking at Re-Manufacturing this Cast in STEEL PART. Not Cat Iron. As Per Pervious CAST back to Metal Melt Specs.

Cat-Cave HQ has sent a Request to Cat HQ for a Blue Print to Remanufacture back to blue Print Agreement. Last email. Awaiting Paperwork in the Mail to Sign and Send Back to Confirm the Agreement .

Note: Cat-Cave Only Casting in Steel Melt Pour the PART in Question. Machined and Drilled for Riveting to YOUR OWN STEEL PLATE.

The 25 and 28 do use the same sprocket guard assembly.

Hey Catman now that you raise the question about the 25 being the same as the 28 I will have go out and look at my 25 side seat project to see if the sprocket guard assembly is there I already looked at the 28 wide gauge and they are missing evidently the L and PL twenty guards are not the same

No, The 25 didn't use the bigger castings. The 28 only used these.

I have been checking out the Rear Sprocket Guards for Cat-Cave Collection Restoration Projects. And Found Out . I am a Couple of Sets Short Myself to Complete the Gas Collection . Gas 35 (4 off) Gas 40 (2 off), Gas R5 (1off), D35 (1 off), D40 (1 off) , RD6 2H (2 off).

My Railway CAT GAS 35 Shunter with Riveted Front Bumper (believed to be a Very Rare Machine Also ?). Needs Rear Sprocket Guards Also.

So Deciding to Remanufacture Rear Guard Castings in Steel Spec. For Cat 25 up to Cat R5 / RD6 2H. Hence all Cat-Cave Cat 20's have Rear Sprocket Guards ?. If Any ACMOC Member does need any Cat 20 L/ PL Rear Sprocket Guards Cast in Steel Specs Let me Know. Now. "Getting It Dun"   www.cat-cave.com
