This was an ad for three non-running large cable cats: D8 1H, D8 2U, D7 3T, plus spare 1H engine. One good Cat 22 and a largely intact second Cat 22 with engine head removed. Trinity County, CA, about 3 miles outside Junction City off of Highway 299. Details now removed, the machines are gone.

Slightly more information on the D8 1H: after the engine was damaged, inspection panels were opened and there was a severely bent rod on one cylinder (the seized cyclinder?), this rod was removed and the Cat was walked a long distance to its current parking place under power of the pony. One approach to moving the D81H (probably what we'll try first if we scrap it) would be to get the pony going again and walk it to the loading site under power of the pony. Pony hasn't been fired for 25 years though.

Good afternoon.
I was wondering how much interest there was in the two Cat 22's. I am interested. I live in Idaho near Boise. I am sure the road/snow conditions are such that getting there soon is not likely. I am presently looking for a trailer that would haul both but could be pulled by a pickup and giving some thought on how to load them. I think my plan would be to get the one running and use it to help load the other. If not, I would probably rent some equipment to load them.
I will stay in touch and let you know if I can swing this.
Thanks

I would like to see pictures of the trailer. And any information you might have on the weight rating or manufacturer. If it could work, it would simplify things for me a bit.
Thanks

I'm in Weaverville. How much are you wanting for the complete 22? Same for the trailer if it's still available.
Thanks

There will be a lot of scrap cutting and hauling activity from the property starting around March 7 for three weeks.
