This engine was running up until 3 months ago, that is until the #1 rod let go. Mag is always reliable. Starter is good. the engine needs rods, bearings and the crank turned to run again. I have not been able to located parts, reconditioned or otherwise. Ready to go to conventional start. Any reasonable offers considered. Will part out. Thanks for looking. (Pics are below)

I'm near Bryan Tx and have some spare items if you want to go back with the pony engine. If not I'm interested in what you have left. I'll build a spare for future projects. I did mine and it's nice having a dependable pony. I can also do the work and test it on the bench if interested.

Hi Vance how did you build your test bench? I made something that looks like a wooden pallet. The pony sits on one side where I've adapted a flue cap from Home Depot into a recess filled with oil that the idler gear sits into. This keeps the mag gear lubed. On the other side of the pallet is a plastic 5 gal pail that has a couple of coolant lines that plumb to the pony. The fuel tank is mounted on a stand to the side of the motor. It sits on a dolly so I can move it around. I rebuilt the motor a few years ago but haven't really started on the 3J main engine that it's associated with, so it sits in my garage and I occasionally run it to keep it in good shap

Cheers,
Neil
