This is a 7J from I believe 1941 serial# 7J 7035WSP. It is a major project or parts machine that has had both engine open for 40 years. 5 roller bottom with completely worn out pads but almost new pins and rail, since it spent its whole working life on concrete. It worked the San Francisco waterfront during the war, for a recycling company. What is left of the paint is grey but I dont think it was military. Mostly complete except the Hyster winch was removed decades ago. Bring a trailer and a big winch for a unique piece of Caterpillar History. Less than scrap price and it includes the original bucket and blade. I have never seen another blade for a Traxcavator. Call me and argue me down in price. I dont know how to do photos but you can go on utube and search Squatch 253 for a good line up of Traxcavators. Grant Northern Calif. 707- 279-9119.

Shipping to Minnesota could get a bit pricy. I hope someone here in Northern Calif will want a unique tractor, or to switch their D4 over to a 5 roller bottom. It is only about a month or so away from the scrapper. I hate to do that but the ranch needs to be cleaned up. Grant.

Yippy, There is a fellow coming next weekend to pick it up. An experienced restorer with the truck and trailer to haul properly. I am relieved. Grant.

:clap2: O thank goodness I've got enough projects to go 6,000 miles south to rescue one of those doe eyed Traxcavator Caterpillars.

Traxcavator moved yesterday for the first time in over 4 decades. It is on its way to be restored enough to go to shows and demonstrate. It was interesting to see a Cat 966 loader pick it up with its forks and load it onto a trailer. The rear wheels of the loader were coming off of the ground a lot. SAVED FROM THE SCRAPPERS!!!!! Grant.
