I'm in a need of a magneto for my 1930 thirty, needs to work please, marks mags cant find parts, pics from when I first bought her. thank you all

That's an eisemann CT-4. I am surprised that Mark doesn't have the parts for those. He build a couple of those each year for me. I have a lots of Eisemann parts. Please call, between Mark and I we should be able to get yours rebuilt no problem. 307-760-8483

Does it just not work, or do you know specifically what you need?

It is hard to tell from your pictures, but it sure looks like the wire connected to the kill switch post is grounded to the body of the magneto. It could just be hanging loose behind the throttle rod, which is blocking the view of the terminal in your photo.

If the other end is connected to the magneto body, or even is touching it or nearly touching it, that wire would be grounding the magneto and prevent getting spark to the plugs. You probably already know this, but I thought it worth mentioning, just in case you don't have experience with magnetos and the terminal is grounded.

We never know the background and sometimes it helps to state what seems obvious. I've seen newly acquired tractors with all sorts of interesting attempts by previous owners to get things working cause all sorts of confusion about problems.

Sure looks like it could be grounded. Take that blue wire off both ends and try it. When you want to stop the engine, ground the post with the knurled nut (right side end of the blue wire in your picture). That wire is supposed to go to a switch that when in the Off position, grounds the magneto (kills the spark, effectively)
