Two choices, Massachusetts or Washington State. That sure narrows it down!

Based upon the pictures and the fact that the tractor might have been in the South Pacific, I'm going to bet Washington State, rather than Massachusetts.

Hopefully he'll come back with more clarity.

It is a nice dozer. I've always wanted on of those 2T or 5T WWII units with the cable overhead dozer, one drum Letourneau units and Hyster winch. They just seem too handy and look cool, too. I wish it was closer.

Garlic Pete a friend called a few months ago he has a cable D4 in Long Beach he was wanting to sell I think it has been in there family for since the early fiftys . If you think you might be interested I can find out the details and get some pics.

No place is to far if there is a fair chance to get dirty, greesy, or poke around some old iron.

7upuller - Don't you know it. old-iron-habit pegged it. As long as dirt, grease and rust is involved, I'll be there.

d4e - sounds interesting. See what you can find out. I like the pre-war and war years stuff quite a lot.

Thats what I was thinking also. Originally was listed as gas.
