no you are correct it is dented!

At least I am comforted to see that it leaks oil in all the same places mine does. And I thought mine was special:heh:

You will need to use a small paint brush in order to take 2 years to "restore"

$14000 dollar that is a lot of money but it would be interested that the price for a d2 going up!

I am very new to this game having just bought my first so excuse my ignorance. When you say undercarriage sheet metal do you mean the rolled pieces of sheet metal that cover the spring? Mine has those but they are kind of bent out of shape and missing most of the bolts. I was just going to toss them but from what you are saying it is worth it to get them straight again and throw a few bolts in?

Absolutely, a lot of the old Cats are missing those covers so if you have them hang onto them, I'm getting a couple of sets made here in Australia right now for my D2's track frames to tidy them up.
