Hey Glen, check your email. In the trucking world keepthe shiny side up is good.In the crawler tractor world it is not so good. Check out the pix.A customer let me borrow his D7 winch cat. A D6 was to light and a D8 was to big for the easement we had to cross. That D7 was perfect.
Anybody get hurt? Hopefully he was wearing his seat belt. Yep, know what you mean, shiny side down, much more better. Did he get the engine off in time?
Hey are you going to be in town on Monday 8-9am. Maybe I'll drive down tomorrow night, and take you to breakfast, then we can load 'em in my Pick up. I have a 4' drum at my house, it only weighs maybe 400 lbs or so. My brother picked on side up 18" of the groung no sweat. I think they will be fine in my PU. It gets a lot better fuel economy. Ain't the first time the truck has had to work. I'll call you tomorrow. Do you have a fork lift at your shop? -glen

Glen, Come on down. Im a bachelor this weekend. I took Dawn to the airport this morning she is in Pasco till monday night.Im watchin the Indy 500 tomorrow and polishin on the old Pete at the house. If you play your cards right I'll let you stop by the home 20. You know I been thinking. Oil Slick is wanting to learn how shift a two stick, I think Im going to have to show Cristine because he is going to be overwelmmed with getting into a old Pete(53) I dont think he will be able to concentrate on shifting.
The Pix. No he didnt get hurt.(just a briused ego.) He been doin the fire break the same way for twenty years.Inspector wanted to try to keep a brush cew busy while the D4 was working.Everything is fine except two broken windows and a bent grab handle.Checked everthing out went back to work the next day.You know its kinda nice when people return favors like my customer did with the D7.Dont worry about our two 70 pound aussiies the always greet our guests with all teeth showing.Dont gorget to remind me about the wall picture I got when I was kid in grade school. Its 4X8 about the size of a piece of plywood. Pretty cool D7 grubbing a hillside in a LA probably in the 50s.
