Found this Willys Jeep Belt Pulley at a swap meet today (the black one on the floor behind my '46 CJ2A Farm Jeep). I bought one of these last year and listed it on Fee-Bay for $350, it sold 58 minutes later. I'll take this one down to the Portland Swap Meet in a couple weeks for "Show and Tell". If it survives long enough to make the trip home I'll put it on Fee-Bay.

This should generate some Play Money for D2 parts!👍

Great looking little flat-fender. Mine's a '48 and is a farm Jeep in every sense of the word, including beat up looks.:jaw:

Curious thing, the Jeep. They were designed to last through one major war, but with a little care I believe they will run until they just drop to a pile of rusty dust.

I'm curious as to what they actually used those belt pulley's for?...or is it just a show thing. Used to see the occasional unit with pto driving a post hole digger but can't say as I've ever seen one with a belt pulley.

The belt pulley on a Jeep was used for the same things as belt pulleys on old Cat's and other tractors. The Jeep has a 60hp engine and that's plenty of power for many machines. The PTO/Pulley on a Jeep runs off the transmission so you can get 3 PTO speeds and reverse. I've used mine to power threshing machines. balers and baker fans but mostly it drives my antique Cider Press in the fall at shows.

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
