hi guys, could somebody please send me a copy of the 5H6054 group assemply for the bevel pinion field change over.
its in the back of the later 6U/7U books apparently.
my parts book is only an early one.

I am trying to work out if a 5H0239 bearing assembly will fit on a 7F1637 bevel pinion with minimal modifications.

thanks.

thanks OM : )

spend half my weekend usually on the lathe or mill so something like this isnt a worry. as long as I am only taking meat off, not sleeving I will consider it.
just wanted to see the picture before I made the 5hr trip to the wreckers with my parts to compare the crown wheels bevel pinions & bearing carriers he has there.

Hi
OM

finally got around to comparing the 2 different bevel pinions and turned the 7f1637 down to suit the dimensions of the 5H0239. this was so I could use the later style carrier with the double row tapered bearings.

just letting you guys know it can be done, but the hardening on the shaft was incredible. i went through a fair few cutting edges to get the job done.

cheers.
