Poll: Listing Items For Sale Or Not ?

More

.
HI EVERYONE :

I have been wondering for a long time if my listing of ( for sale Items )
is really helping anyone.

I list any Cat Equipment that is 1980 or older.

I list many Cat parts sometimes in bulk listings.

If I find a cable operated scraper ( by another company ) I may list it because Cat cable scrapers are getting hard to find, and a lot of people want cable pans, but many are being bought and being converted to hydraulic controlled.

If I find a Truck or Trailer good for hauling equipment I may list it to.

There are times I may list something again from the past that I listed because the seller has reduced the price and relisted it.

By the way I do all of this for free, and ( I do not know the sellers, and nothing about the equipment ) so buyer beware, and do your homework on the items.

If it was listed on eBay check the sellers feedback.

I like posting, searching, and listing, because it gives me something to do.

You may not find what you are looking for but you may see what others are selling, and sometimes are successful.

You may be selling to cheap ! ! !

I am running this poll for your input ! ! !

You can check more than one box at a time.

Make suggestion and comments ... no pats on the bake ! ! !

Bumpus--in the beginning I took an exception to you--mainly the non Cat machines and you were not an Antique Cat owner! But now i like your posts and have bid on a number of machines you have posted! I now realize your genuine interest in these old machines and it is really appreciated!!! :thumb::thumb:

And after that last pissing match on the Cat 15 scraper which you had no idea on the validity of the add
I find that as usual many members of this forum are just looking for an issue to bring forward. That is why this particular forum is really looked down upon many other knowledgeable Cat enthusiasts.

Didn't realize that ACMOC was "looked Down Upon", except by people that were banned because they thought the rules didn't apply to them due to their "greatness".

Bumpus, I don't mind at all that you post stuff on here for us to drool over. But if you see parts on eBay listed by "radialflatulence" could you please post it for me?:lol:

Bumpus,

I am going to pat you on the back for all your effort to post those listings. It saves me looking through many other websites. I look at most of what you put up here. Thanks for doing it and keep up the good work. I appreciate it.

That's odd. I've been on eBay since '07, not '11. I have a 4F2650 coolant elbow on right now, will probably be listing some light brackets this weekend.

I'm always surprised by the pictures of '90% tracks and rollers'. It's a great way to see what other Cats are out there and
where.
Seems like I saw somewhere you are a 'Full Timer' on the road.
Ya must have grown on me 'cause when I see one of your posts curiosity takes over.
I'm OK with your posts !

I would say go ahead and keep posting if it's something you enjoy doing. None of us have the ability to please everybody all the time, no matter what we do or how we do it, there will always be somebody somewhere that may disagree, and that's just life. Personally, I enjoy looking at your posts that have links to machines I have an interest in - I never buy machines online but like to check out the links to see what's up for sale, price versus condition, etc. so no objections from me. Or like any other post, if it doesn't look like something I'm interested in I usually just scroll past it. To make a long story short, do what you enjoy and as long as you're not hurting anything don't worry about what other people think.

I can relate to dpendzic's post, every forum I frequent (from Cats to vintage aircraft to guns) has a different atmosphere. Much of that comes from the personalities that tend to group together, some from the variety of subject matter that can be discussed. I don't want to hijack this thread but I'll say that I've had more criticism of my posts here than anywhere else I usually frequent - not lots but it does stand out.
