Sue, you beat me to it!
Got busy doing other stuff last weekend (keeping the couch warm) and didn't get my D2 and yellow lights set up. Now I'm on a mission. Gotta do it now!πŸ‘πŸ‘

Hey, you're my kinda girl. Wish I could find someone like you here on this side of the country! πŸ˜†πŸ˜†πŸ˜†

I wish! Seems like everything is breaking around here... I even had to fix the garage door yesterday. The wheel tractors I play with all need some TLC, and the rebuilt governor I got for the Oliver/Cletrac HG doesn't fit. The engine had a weird governor on it, and I think they might have machined the timing cover down to fit it when they rebuilt the engine. My Farmall Super A is the only machine in the tractor square dance group that doesn't have a good paint job, so the pressure is on to get that done, too. I just want to get to the point where there are only two projects in the garage... the T and the Thirty.

I really need these wheel tractors to be in good shape for all the things I do with them all year. My 16-year old daughter drove the Farmall in the Christmas parade this past weekend. She pulled her Scout Venture Crew float - my trailer with a campsite and tent set up on it. People thought it was the Occupy Woodland float! πŸ˜†

F. Enjoy winding up or have zero consideration for neighbours whom dont celebrate or may celebrate a different imaginary friend

Fortunately there banned here, nothing better than being blinded and distracted by someone elses beliefs flashing in neon all over, its invasive pollution just like noise, and really no different to graffiti.

l guess the polite thing to do would be to do it where it wouldnt be inflicted on the rest of the comunity.

I guess it depends on where you live. The lights are pretty standard over here, in fact, my display is really small - not a single reindeer or snowman.

The holiday has its roots in pre-Christian pagan, germanic, Roman, and other western traditions, because people just want to party in the winter when it gets dark outside, and we have done so for thousands of years. So... there's something in it for everyone. For Christians, Easter is the big holiday, so Christians don't get all mad at me for saying this.

If you guys in B.C. were more commercial & had Christmas lights, midnight Thanksgiving sales, and stampedes for the hottest computer game system, you would know what the holiday is really about! :canada:

When we lived in California the Christmas lights some folks set up on their houses were amazing, absolutely amazing, in fact whole streets in some neighbourhoods would be lit up as community minded people tried to instill some cheer and happiness into the lives of our younger generation. I know my 3 young kids at the time loved nothing more than the treat of being taken for a drive around town after dinner to look at everyone's Christmas light displays, so thankyou Barstart Sue for taking the time to brighten the lives of those around you at your own expense.

Folks like you make the world a nicer place for our kids, and as the last few generations have just about finished trashing the joint we all know our next generation of custodians will have their work cut out trying to save the planet, so lets give them something to smile about before they start getting all grown up and grumpy like some folks here. Seems like its open season to pick on Barstart week this week, someone must of pinned a big Ol bullseye on the back of your sweater when you weren't looking just so some of our international hooligans can take pot shots at ya. Don't you worry about them Ol Grumps, there's enough fun loving youngsters here on ACMOC to appreciate your eclectic humorπŸ˜†.
Felice navidad from your aethiest buddy

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
