Hi Jim--they are steel bars that go from the top of the radiator, over the hood to the top of the ROPS--they keep limbs from crashing down on the hood also stop whipping branches from hitting the operator![]()
Ok. Thank you. I have them and didn't know what they are called. Thanks again.
Dunno about stopping branches from slapping the operator as I seem to get whacked occasionally but sweeps let low branches slid over the critter w/o breaking the exhaust pipe off as long as said exhaust pipe tip is lower than the sweeps. Also a good place to hang a short block and tackle when wrestling heavy parts around on the engine, plus they make good hand holds when walking on top of snowy/icy tracks.
You have a wonderful day. Best wishes. Deas Plant.
Hi, Ol' Grump.
Handholds when walking on snowy/icy tracks, huh? Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm?????? Never had to use them for the reason that you describe. But then again, I have been through the last 11 winters where I live in shorts, shirt and boots. Oh, and the ubiquitous Cat cap. Gotta have that. LOL.
Where I live is one of the VERY FEW places on Earth that are ackshully FIT for human habitation.
Just my 0.02.
This guy needed sweeps!!! You Tube site "giant tree falls on bulldozer"
