This is a pretty good old girl. Had been sitting for around 10 years. Looked it over when it got here and was pleasantly surprised, especially with the rails and sprockets. Except for the fact that the steering levers were frozen solid, the pony was frozen because someone had left the oil fill cap off, well i found that after getting the pony free and running it blew out the main exhaust pipe after the main started. I was wondering why everyone went running:D
After getting the pony running i noticed smoke coming from the mag vents? I had never seen that before, dry bearins i'm sure, good thing i noticed and pulled the mag off because the mag gear nut was about to fall off and do some serious damage to the gears. Just happened to have a spare and were back in business.
After all that time sitting it runs pretty well, with a little blowby.
It steers fine after freeing the levers up at the needle bearings in the top cover, then over adjusting the ffrictions to get more travel.
Not sure what i'll do with this one but sure is fun to bring them back to life:D

Wow Don,
A great find. Orchard version w/ fenders WOW. You left coasters have all the luck. Good luck with the track kicking group.

Tractor Don---
That's a good looking old tractor---fenders and all. What year is it?
Just like McDonald's---just keep handing those burgers out the window---keep the cash register ringing.
Cooked up some chittlings the other day----thought about your upcoming Track Kickin. Ya'll eat chittlings out there on the west coast----can send out my special recipe if needed. They are a delicacy---if I say so myself (boiled or fried).
Keep us posted with pictures on the get together.

I agree, the only reason I would take an orchard Cat is to part it out.

That's a great looking tractor, nice find. I wish I could find myself a machine like that. See you on the 10th.
