I found a Belt Pulley gearbox for sale and I'm wondering if it will fit my D2 Cash Disposal Unit (yeah, I know. I haven't even heard it run yet but pulley gearboxes don't come along everyday). The part number cast on the main housing of the pulley drive is 4B9570. I don't have the number off my PTO gearbox handy but I know that it came off an early U series.

Anybody know if that's the right one?

Thanks!

4B9570 is the correct casting number for the housing assembly of the belt pulley drive group for the D2.

i think.... d2 b/pulleys didn't mount on the pto, pto's had to be removed, make sure it has the coupling.
good luck

If I remember right there are two different belt pulley gearboxes , one that mounts over the pto like mine and a one piece pto and bp gearbox.

I went back and bought the pulley drive today. It's the two piece version and fits my PTO gearbox. Many years ago I had a 3J series and with it came the belt pulley gearbox that was just a pulley without a PTO shaft, I knew this was the other version. Now, hopefully I'll have the CDU running someday and I'll actually be able to USE the PTO & Pulley.😆

I also found a rare JEEP Belt Pulley drive at the same place last Friday. I listed it on Fee-Bay and an hour later it sold for $350 (CHA-CHING!!! Only paid $70 for it). That should pay for a few more D2 parts!!👍👍

Thanks guys!

Yes, same set up.
The D4 is two speed and combination PTO/BP.
The D2 arrangement is just combination PTO/BP.

OM,
are the two speeds 540 and 1000, on the D4 pto?
Cheers,
Neil.

There are actually four versions for the D4:
A 545 rpm cw and 705 rpm ccw (#2F7982 group)for top seat and a (#2F7983 group) for tail seat.
Plus
A550 rpm cw and 806 rpm ccw (#5H8729 group) for top seat and a (#5H8730 group) for tail seat.

Edit:
While fumbling through my PTO brochure I found they also had a "Industrial" PTO at 1200 rpm, direct drive, no gear box if you need something faster. Can't say as I've ever seen one though.

I don't see where that coupler goes. Pulley drive input should slide over the PTO shaft (once it's all cleaned up).

I will probably need to find the coupler that goes inside the transmission for the PTO gearbox. At the rate I'm going it'll be several more years before I'll really need it though.😆
