Is there a replacement part#? The two #'s I could come up with are 3H5632 and 1H2994 but am not having much luck locating one.

I just bought a new "Temperature Indicator" for my 5U Cash Disposal Unit. The new part number is 200-5220. You might want to be sitting down when you order one ($72.81).

Today I tried Jim Zimmerman but didn't have any luck. He stated that he just uses the newer type that can be ordered from the dealer. Looks like that is what I'll do.

I am shocked that JimZ did not have the original round temp style as he purchased all my parts when I sold out couple months ago and there were some cherry working old style temp guages in the group. Jim may not have unpacked fully yet (he purchased 7 large 4x4 fruit bins) or sold these guages already.

He must have sold them or don't realize he has them.

If you have the original gauge you can have it restored, I am having all 4 of my gauges restored for my 1946 Caterpillar 12, but let me warn you it's not cheap.

I sent mine to Bob's Speedometer Shop in Michigan, here is the link, http://www.bobsspeedometer.com/1/120/index.asp , I have not got mine back yet but I am expecting them very soon, When I get them back I will post pictures. If you mail them your gauge or gauges they will send you and estimate on what the work is going to cost, then if you choose not to have the work done they will mail it back to you. The gauges I had to work with were very rough so the cost was quite high, about $375 a piece, and I had 4 gauges done, but they are gauranted to be like new with 1 year warranty. So if you want original that's the price you have to pay.

Farmallzach,

Unfortunately, mine had been replaced at sometime in its life. So somebody along the way just through an aftermarket gauge in it.

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
