Hi, I have recently inherited a 1935 CAT 22, S/N 2F5209 with an Isaacson dozer blade from my brother-in-law. I am new to the CAT ranks, and look forward to working with my 22. In looking at the many photos of CAT22s I notice that there are few with a dozer blade and I have seen none with an Isaacson blade like mine. Can anyone educate me about dozer blades and CAT 22s? Were they all retrofits, or were any factory supplied? How rare is a 22 with blade? Where do I go to get literature or information on Isaacson blades? Any help will be appreciated. Ray

All blades on 22's are after market add ons. Adding a blade to a machine that is not designed for one is hard on the machine. I think I see a generator on your machine, that is a rare option. Jon

I don't think Cat provided blades for any machines until the late 40's/early 50's but maybe someone else will chip in on that. Just something that stuck in my mind, amazing it stayed there that long😆

Yes, this one has a generator and electric start. Found a set of lights for it. Looking forward to restoring it.

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
