Hello All, cant find parts book for the 8R D8,,, rebuilding a radiator for a D13000 Gen Set ,, has same as 8R D8 Radiator .. Top tank 2F 429 ,, bottom tank 4B 3002. Can somone please look for a part number for the gaskets for the tanks to core .. 2 the same looks like.. I will check if Cat dealer has new ones or will have to make them!.. Thanks for looking ,,, Willy i guess you might have a parts book with those tank numbers in !!??. Thanks again .... pete....

a supplier will only give you a roll of narrow width material to make the gaskets, so you would have to butt joint them in the corners. What I did was purchase a large roll of mat. that would allow me to make the gasket as a whole At least that is what i did for an RD7 genset.

In8R book tank numbers are diferent than those you gave but core number is 2A1747 and pair of gaskets are number 2A1748.

I haven't bothered to buy such gaskets- I use Ultra blue - for pan gaskets etc I use "O" ring cord stock - crazy glued to block [for spacer]- use diam = thickness of original gasket]- 1 on inside of bolts & 1 outside w/ the silly seal between= no leaks & none of ultra blue gets pushed where you don't want it- tighten bolts till it just starts to ooze out a bit..
