The club used to sell a set on VHS, but I don't think they ever had them on DVD. I'm not sure if the set is available through other sources or not. Holt Cat of Texas put together a DVD called "Holt Cat: the Journey" that has the nice 3D animation of the 1904 steam Caterpillar prototype in a 20 min video on Caterpillar and Holt Cat history. "The Tractor Race" (albeit with a different sound track) and "Born in the West" are on the DVD as well.

I have just about all of those movies you are looking for,but the problem is that they in the 16mm film verison. I have never price them out to see what they would cost to be put on dvd,but I will check.I have some where around 100 of the old cat movies.Mike Durkin
Hicrop, would be ideal if you could get them transferred, let me know if you do and we will do a deal

Hi Mike , Maybe you could do some sort of deal with the club to get the films recorded to DVD and sold threw the club shop . Many of us would like to see this sort of thing . . Ian .
They are an excellent series of vids that should be honoured again in DVD, i think they were released in 2000 in conjunction with 75th anniversary celebrations, i especially like the Ataturk Dam video where it shows a portion of the 200 strong 84A s/n 777 fleet parked up all fully loaded for what i assume would be a shift change, man you would have either hated or loved D348 engines in those trucks by the end of that job!!
There were a couple of safety movies back in the late sixty's . Called 'The sound of drums'. One featured cable gear and was pretty blood thirsty. Got the message across real GOOD !!. Later version had 769 988 650 etc in it and not so gory..4D..
Hi all from flooded Down under.
I too would be interested in the DVD set if they were reprinted. i believe I saw some
of these at the cat museum at Rotorua NZ. Maybe Mr Wills has them on DVD.
