The local scrap dealer had this come in and kindly gave it to me. Put new bolts in and gave it a sand blast plus paint to put it behind one of our nine D2s. It is a Feild Chief which was built by Goughs New Zealand.

Doesn't look hardly used! Here they are usually well used and abused. Excellent scrap dealer to be kind enough to let you know it came in!

I know of two with similar design. One works, but has had a a lot of work time on it the other has been restored, at least to look nice. I have pulled the one and it works good even though as worn as it is.

Very similar to one made by Britstand here Australia in the 50's , commonally known as the"Tumbling Tommy " I helped build a couple on dams with one at Home ,after I left school in Mid Fifies . Used a "Mitchell road plough" to break open the Floor .Two man job , one Driver on the 744 Massey Wheel tractor , and One fellow hanging onto the plough !!
Last dam we built for ourselves we used our 631 and 633 scpapers and a D8K for Ripping , Much easier !!!
All You folks have great 2011 LJ

Really nice that it found you rather than you having to find it. Nice refurb, hope you get lots of fun out of it!

Hi, Ruakina Cat.
Nice catch and nice restoration. That jigger looks to be a good size for a D2. I Hope you have many hours of both fun and productive work, even at the same time if you're lucky.

You have a wonderful day. Best wishes. Deas Plant.

The oldtimers call them "Tumble Bugs" here in Oklahoma. There are lots of them around here.

The operator instructions are just like the warranty there where none. Dad can remember them comming though Goughs when he worked there. We live in Palmerston North, NZ.
