Although ACMOC can not control the Postal Service, the board will be making a change in the class of service the magazines are mailed in the U.S. It seems that, unknown to ACMOC, there is another class of mail that will suit our needs better. For some time, the magazines have been mailed in a class called "pre-sorted"; that is, pre-sorted by zip code. It is not a priority class, and the various postal service facilities through which the magazine passes on its way to you are authorized to hold it up to 4 days (I think is the correct figure).

We are going to a system which I think is called "Periodical", which does have a priority, and should result in prompt delivery, as your other magazines receive. Truly, we were ignorant, but Jeff Huff has spent time with his local post master, had the whole thing explained out, and he shared the information with the board of directors at a meeting several days ago.

So, perhaps, another "kink" in the club will be straightened out before long.

Yea,George it's a little annoying when you see Europe and Down Under getting theirs in such a short time.
A few years back my daughter in Georgia needed money,so I wrote a check, went to the post office and mailed it priority mail.The guy said probably 2 days.It took seven days to get to her.The receipt card only took three days to get back to me.I stopped in to tell the guy at the post office how long it took,he said I was lucky,he mailed a credit card payment to Florida and it took 12 days to get there and got stuck with a late payment.

Maybe the reason I haven't received my copy yet is my membership expires on 31 December. I am still undecided whether or not to renew, I am afraid if I don't I will miss on any new model released.

Art, the only reason your magazine has not arrived at your home is that the Postal Service has been holding it up. I think the rule is that within 4 days the magazine needs to be out of their office. How many places in between it has another 4 days is a good question.

You will receive it - or otherwise you'll give the ACMOC office a call and complain.

Hope you rejoin. Why don't you mention what you like and don't like, so that if possible, we can make changes to be more attractive.

I received mine unusually early this time on November 30, 2006.
In the past the delivery would not have been until about December 20, 2006.
Nice to get it earlier thah usual.

I was beginning to think I wasn't going to get my magazine.I came home from work and lo and behold there it was.I'll bet I get the prize for it taking the longest to arrive. Had my Dad over for dinner tonight,so let him take it home to read.

Magazine came today 1/4/07 was to late to order from flyer by 15 days
member from july 1999 have renewed for 2007 but will not for 2008.
