April 15-17, 2011 the Tulare show will feature Best, Holt and Cat along with Prairie Tractors. Doug Peltzer who is one of the founders of the show is once again Show Chairman and he has selected Best, Holt and Cat as his feature tractors.

The last time Tulare featured Best, Holt and Cat was in 2004. I think we turned out about 131 Best, Holt and Cat pieces for that show and it would be nice if we did that many or more in 2011.

In 2004 we had the Best steamer from Joe Heidrick and Jesse says he can bring it to Tulare. Don Hunter will bring his Holt # 111 to Tulare for the first time and there will be lots of early tractors in 2011 that were not there in 2004.

So please mark your calendars for April and help us celebrate the wonderful heritage of Cat.

Glen and all of you earth moving guys, we will have about 10 acres of dirt so bring the big stuff so we can all watch the dirt fly. This will be a first for Tulare so hopefully enough people will enjoy the dirt show so that it becomes a regular attraction.

We will be running the parade from oldest to newest for the Best, Holt and Cats so Willie I am going to need your help once we hit the show grounds. Are you up for it?

I just tried to download an Exhibtors packet and found that pre-registration is closed, and that it must be done the day of the event.
Several years ago they mailed me a registration packet after the first of the year.... must be a change of policy since I did it last.

BC--They will send to their mailing list after the 1st of the year. They are not yet set up for 2011.

All right boys and girls we are now 5 weeks away from Tulare, 2011. The show is shaping up nicely as we will have a great group of all of Cat's heritage from the Best and Holt Steamer up through tractors from the 60's.

Please turn out in force this year and lets put on a great show as we did in 2004 (or hopefully better). We have a nice assortment of Best, Holt and Cat stuff coming and we need more!! Please get your applications in now (you can download them from the website www.antiquefarmshow.org) so we know who is bringing what and what we need to fill in with.

Remember, the show this year starts Friday morning April 15th so we will have 3 full days of fun. Please post up here what you are bringing and get your applications in early.

Thanks. Tom

That's disappointing!!!!! Can I ask how come?
If the response is "it's none of my business" that's OK too.

Won't be the same without at least some of your "big iron" and participation....has me thinking about not going.

I got the word that they have canceled the dirt moving play area that was to be a new attraction this year. I had been planning a lot to get a impressive line up, including hauling down my 660 scraper and Jesse got permission to haul the Double D-9 out of brooks to haul down. D4e was donating his 9 axles to get it here. I was going to haul 20 units down. So... since no dirt ...... I am going to have gastric by-pass surgery and have just planned it for April 7th. I was going to do it after Tulare, but I figure I should get it done before the season starts hard and heavy. I don't think I will be up for too much a week after surgery. So the plan is to play it by ear now, maybe I can come down for a day, we will see how I feel.-glen

I talked to Tulare show chairman Doug Peltzer last weekend and at that time the play area was a go. Any idea why it was cancelled?

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
