At 8000 feet here in Colorado I been busy getting a pile of wood ready for the wood stove. I picked up a 1948 Dearborn 3 pt buzz saw a while back and then I came across a little Caterpillar 2 cyl .5L in line diesel (Perkins). I built a little cart/trailer for the pair and fired it up several weeks ago. This little beast does some serious wood cutting and runs like a champ.

Looks good....at 8,000 ft must be around Estes Park somewhere. Got relatives that had a dude ranch in Allens Park.

You must never throw things away....Looks like you used unistrut, a sign post, and even left the three point on...Be careful and watch those fingers :o)

I did use unistrut for the frame as I just hate paying for new metal. Since the saw is really an antique I did not want to cut or modify it at all. It can easily be unbolted from the cart and hooked up to a three point. I think the little Caterpillar diesel motor runs it way better than my old Super A could though.
