The Rock and Dirt show started off cold and windy on Friday. I got there and unloaded my tractor, hung out for a while, then went home to await a better day. Saturday started out cool not cold with Sun, but it got better by late afternoon. In the morning I did a little "Trail-Blazing" with my D2. Then in the afternoon I was out playing on the dirt lot (sandbox) when I teamed up pushing power with another guy driving a D4-U. We practiced pushing dirt in tandem (16 feet) with my blade up against his! After a while of people watching us, another guy on a earlier D4-G teamed up with us. We were then pushing 22 feet of dirt!
Here are some photos from Saturday's show 👍
If you want to see 2 and 3 tractors pushing together, then look for the videos on U-Tube. 😆

Jeff,
That "other guy" looks like Kent Bates. I know he was considering attending. Great pictures. Nice to see Chuck and his LaPlante too.

Jeff,
Jeff nice photos. I believe we might try the suggestion of a 2-4-6-8 combo and see how it works next year. The 7U is owed by our club. It needs a little twiking, But Kent did a find job of running it. I think in the morning we might put the Adams Grader behind the HD15 or D8. See if we can roll some dirt over. I have some photos to post of the kids running the 60, 40 and 66 grader, 35 and Adams grader, 955 and 212 grader thru the parade. We also had a nice bonfire tonight. We had a lot of fun with Opie coming down to visit from Minn and Kent coming up from ILL to visit also.

Yep Bruce that was Kent Bates. Opie had one of his 15s there Friday and Saturday morning. Opie and I worked the Diesel 35 and Elevating grader all morning today. We really made that Hot Rod Three Cylinder sing. Al would have been proud.

It was nice meeting new people, Kent and Opie are knowledgeable guys to know! Chuck will be back on Monday, he wants to photo our D2's on the Scraper. His pulling and mine pushing!
I ran out of "steam" last night, so am working on getting the videos on youtube this morning.
They are called "bulldozing 16 feet wide 1min" and "bulldozing 22 feet wide 1min" by tractorjeff.

I think those are the links, I took them before the final upload so they may work or you'll have to do a search. They are 1 minute long so some of you may opt to not watch, but it is worth seeing!

Kent you need to get Bill to get his D-6 back together. Today we had the D-4 running teaching a fellow how to run it. I think he may not have gotten off he was having so much fun. We had the 6 and pan out here and Chuck's D-2 was running by one of his friends. We also had a Cub with a belly blade running out there. Arlene Smith and family came out for a visit today. She rode and Al's Grand-kids rode with Steve Barr and Kevin Welch on the Elevating Grader in a few turns. We also had the Northwest 6 running along with the 22B.
Tomorrow we put the filed back.

This morning Chuck and I took a half dozen passes on the "sandbox" with our D2 tractors working his Scraper together. After that I went down to finish the section of trail road that I blazed yesterday. Its cut 10 to 12 foot wide into the hillside now, it should level out once its rained on and packed.
Attached are links to a couple of videos of Chuck and I in action!
