I seen reference to a homemade sleeve puller and am sure that I even saw a post with pictures of such a tool, but I cannot find that post or other information anymore. Could anyone enlighten me please?

Thanks

I did a bunch of photos of a complete rebuild on a D2 5U engine a couple years back, and I did use a home made sleeve puller. I turned a plate to fit the bore of the sleeve with a shoulder that would pass through the block bore. I used a piece of 1" all thread to supply the pull. I made a heavy braced plate that i could block up over the deck that I pulled from. It worked as well, or maybe better than some manufactured pullers that I have used.

Check my old posts. There may be a picture of it in there yet.

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
