Can anyone look up in an older performance book and tell me the break out force
of an early model 235(A model) excavator. -glen

from 1973 perf.book 225w/125 hp. bo.8ft. stick.-22,000lb... bucket 1cu.yd.-25,600 lb.

i am not a jr. mmbr.! looked quick took 225 for 235!!! anyways, bk.#20 .😞 235(64r) only lists cap.@17,300lbs.

Hi Glen,
I don't deal with these specs very often. Is your break out force same as lifting capacity? I don't see the term breakout force being used in my handbook.
For a 235 w/8ft stick, standard undercarriage I see 27,200 lbs at 15 ft reach and zero bucket hinge pin height.
At -10 ft at 10ft reach it is 28,300 lbs.
